The site of rakhigarh is one of the five known biggest townships of harappan civilization on indian sub-continent. Five interconnected mounds spread in a huge area form the rakhigarhi's unique site.

The rakhigarhi museum is designed to be inviting for the visitors, serving as educational facility where people can learn about the harrapn civilization.

The archaeological excavations revealed mature harappan phase represented by planned township having mud-brick as well as burnt-brick houses with proper drainage system.

The purpose of the project is to serve as epitome of national identity and to built a centre for interaction and enjoyment of people in artistic and cultural activity.

The design of the structure reflets planing in square shaped townships with use of mud bricks.

The museum displays remains found in excavation in rakhigarh area, the lifestyle of harappan people.

Interactive screens with sound effects are designed to engage the visitors.
